Our silk is Peace Silk:

It is elegant, animal-friendly, and sustainable.
The caterpillars are allowed to complete their metamorphosis.
They hatch as butterflies and continue to live.
Only then is the cocoon spun.

*Eri silk is generally Peace Silk, but in some rural cultures the protein-rich pupa from the cocoon is used as food. We cannot completely rule this out with this particular fabric.

 Unfortunately, this product is not certified organic. However, it is manufactured under ecological conditions – without hormones or harmful chemicals. The fabrics are natural, unbleached, and undyed. We source them directly from the manufacturer and verify their ethical practices.
