We differentiate between:

  • DEVA Peat Processing

Our Peace Silk is sprayed with a special peat solution made from purified highland peat fibres and selected plant extracts.

The solution is created through rhythmic processing and fine swirling movements, inspired by the ideas of Rudolf Steiner – for a harmonious feel when worn.

You can add the DEVA peat treatment to any item as an optional extra – directly when choosing your product.

Our activated peat solution is also available in a handy 100 ml spray bottle – ideal for refreshing your DEVA peat silk products and for treating other textiles using the same method.

  • DEVA Silk-Peat Fiber Blend

Our high-quality peat fibres from the highland peatlands are refined with a select combination of mallow extract, horse chestnut and larch resin. The subsequent activation takes place through rhythmic processes inspired by the ideas of Rudolf Steiner. This makes the fibres noticeably softer and changes the sense of warmth and feel against the skin.

These activated fibres are available from us either as pure peat fleece or in combination with Peace Silk – processed into fine fabrics, yarns or finished products for clothing, pads and more.

One example of this unique combination is our lightweight DEVA quilt with peat-silk filling – developed for a particularly comfortable, natural sleep feel.

Peat in Folk Medicine

Peat forms when dead plants – above all peat moss (sphagnum) – decompose only very slowly over thousands of years, cut off from water and oxygen. In the process, humic acids form, giving moor its dark colour and traditionally credited in folk medicine with a range of beneficial properties.

DEVA Peat Silk according to Rudolf Steiner • A personal Lecture by Seidentraum founder Dr. Matias Langer

The connection between the grounding qualities of peat fibres and the uplifting, empyrean qualities of silk was developed and brought to life by Matias with great passion and love.
