Silk Care Made Easy
- We recommend cold hand washing
- Use a pure silk detergent — let it act briefly
- Gently swirl the garment
- For stains, gently rub fabric-to-fabric
- Rinse in cold water, smooth carefully and hang to dry
Important:
Do not wring! No tumble dryer!
May be ironed or steamed on a low steam setting
How to wash our silk properly
Silk is scientifically proven to be antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, naturally odor-neutral, and - like wool - it can be refreshed effectively by airing out. Even so, regular washing is important to keep silk clean and hygienic.
Our silk loves gentle care: cold hand washing or a wool/delicate cycle up to 40 °C - but please avoid spinning.
This helps your Peace Silk stay beautiful, smooth, and supple for a long time.
Choosing the Right Silk Detergent Matters
We recommend avoidingwool–silk combo detergents, because wool needs re-fatting (reconditioning) — silk does not.
For silk, we recommend our Tenestar silk detergent: just a small dash per item is enough.
For stains, apply itneat (undiluted), leave it on for 10 minutes, then gently rinse/wash out.
How to dry silk properly
Rinse the silk thoroughly, gently smooth it back into shape, and let it drip-dry while hanging — withno wringing, spinning, or tumble drying.
This helps your Peace Silk stay beautiful, glossy, and silky-soft for a long time.
How to Iron Silk Properly
Iron on setting 2 (silk/wool).
Gentle steaming is also possible and helps smooth out deeper creases. Silk can also be ironed while still slightly damp.
We recommend moving the iron in one direction only - avoid back-and-forth motions, as this can create lots of small wrinkles.
For stubborn creases, lightly spray with destilled water first, then dry-iron with light pressure.
What Our Silk Really Doesn´t Like
- Chemical deodorants (better: natural deodorants, and wait until they’ve fully absorbed)
- Makeup and freshly applied skincare products (let them absorb first)
- Oils and grease - they can cause stains that are difficult to remove
