A high-quality, specially developed detergent for the finest silk, preserving the elegance and luster of silk fabrics. This Tenestar® detergent, in a convenient 240 ml bottle, cleans gently, protects the fibers, and keeps colours bright – ideal for gentle care.

Special features:

  • Silk retains its luster and softness for a long time.
  • It also removes stains well.
  • Preserves luminosity and fiber structure by avoiding aggressive chemicals and conditioning agents.

We recommend not washing silk with wool-silk combination detergents. These usually contain conditioning agents intended for wool – which may be unsuitable for silk.

  • Our silk feels pleasant on the skin – even on sensitive skin.
  • Silk is obtained cruelty-free. The moth hatches before the cocoon is spun.
  • Eco-conscious: dyeing is one of the most water- and chemical-intensive steps in textile production – we skip it for our natural white and cream silk fabrics.
  • By buying directly from our partner workshops we support fair conditions, mutual appreciation and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship in smallholder structures.

What Makes Silk So Good?

  • A good climate for skin and scalp: silk is temperature-balancing – it warms when it is cool and cools when it is warm. It can reduce excessive sweating.
  • Related to skin: like our skin, silk is protein-based – pleasant even on sensitive skin.
